My name is Janelle Wawia — artist, trapper, and fashion designer. Everything I create — from fur products and beaded earrings to original paintings and hidework — is crafted with intention, culture, and care.

It’s a space to share the stories behind my work: the trapline mornings, the midnight sketching sessions, and the ways I bring healing, tradition, and identity into every creation.

I use traditional materials like fur, moosehide, leather and beadwork alongside contemporary design to tell stories of survival, connection, and power.
